Advice on Fascias for new build
Hi
I am new to this site, as I guess others are as the site seems pretty new!
Looking at building my own house later this summer, or well starting it at least! Can anyone suggest what is the most common Fascia in terms of square, bullnose or ogee. All manufacturers seem to do the same – is there nothing else available? Im planning on using a handmade style brick to give the property a rustic feel so Id probably go for a fascia that’s Light Oak in Colour.
Any replies welcome.
Thanks
Finch

Hi Finch,
If you were thinking of using light oak, I think you're kind of limited to using square fascia as I think the others only come in white.

Hi Finch
You can get foils in square fascias yes, but also in ogee in certain sizes. Light oak would look great, but also maybe cream of black fascias and soffits. You'll also need to think about what colour gutters you need to use. If you go for light oak fascia then id advise going for black gutter as the warranty is 10 years as opposed to brown or caramel gutter which is 5 years.

I went for Light Oak Fascia in the end – or at least I will be when I start. The ground work has now been done so we’ll be able to get quite a bit done in the next few weeks.
I decided on light oak fascia as I'm having black windows and a black rockdoor. I’ve never seen it done this way around before – but ive seen black fascias and soffits used with light oak windows and composite doors so thought I give it a go. It will look very good I think.
